Blue Jars and Rosemary, a gift from Em to Pen

A birthday gift for a special friend with a few of her favourite things: ginger jars, quince tarts, peonies and leopard print!

‘Old Country Roses’ was commissioned by Alice for her ‘difficult to buy for, lover of baking’ friend Tam as a surprise for her birthday. Alice sent me images of Tam’s favourite teapot and some of her baked treats and from that I created this little piece for her. Such a lovely birthday idea!

‘Set of Scales and Two Bottles’ was commissioned by a friend whose walls were bare and crying out for some art. His direction was “Anything you want Al…but I like Surrealism.” Fairly broad but we were both very pleased with the results!

‘Marcy and Toocool’s Cupcakes’ was commissioned by author Susan Halliday for use on her website as an interactive children’s challenge

Ginger jars, quince tarts, peonies and leopard print – would that be for our interminable FF?!

Alexandra, I’m Karen who received the beautiful commissioned original artwork of the beloved family teacup from Linda for my 50th birthday – through a veil of tears when I realised instantly what it was – a deeply meaningful reminder of our grandmother. Thank you so much for the priceless gift which now represents Nan, Linda & yourself and will now have one of the original cup, saucer & plates from the original set of Nan’s sitting near it. Thank you.
Hi Karen,
I was delighted to create this for you and Linda and even more thrilled to hear from both of you how well it was received. xx
HI Alexandra, I love your work. i have so many of the teacups you draw, all packed away until we move, so it is such a lovely reminder. I am about to set up a blog and would love to work with you re. the graphics for the header if possible. How do we organise? Kind regards, Michele
Hi Michele, thanks for your lovely comment. If you email me alexneagraham@yahoo.com we can discuss options for you for your graphics for your blog. Good luck with your move and creation of your blog x
