The feature illustration on the La Belle Mariée Gift Bags

Notes

Hello Art of Afternoon Tea readers! Yes, I am aware I have been away for longer than promised but I have just been so inundated with Fashion Bridal Illustration requests that there has been simply no time to bake!

What with Autumn just around the corner and my growing desire to commence consuming cake, muffins and scones again I hope to be back with some fab new recipes and accompanying illustrations very shortly.

In the mean time I wanted to share with you my latest favourite Bridal Illustration, a recent piece created for newly launched wedding business, La Belle Mariée. A gift bag delivering beautiful products and services direct to future brides in a unique and stylish way.

Now off to spend this rainy Sydney weekend drawing beautiful brides and hopefully a cake or two!

Movember

This Bro can pull off a Mo

Notes

This month thousands of men around Australia will be trimming, plucking and cultivating their way to having the finest facial hair possible, the art of moustachery.

Known as Mo Bros, these brave men of all ages are raising money for Movember in support of men’s health, namely prostate cancer and male mental health.

So get involved Mo Sistas and support the men in your life, throw some cashola their way or simply use it as a starting point to break the Aussie male mentality of ‘she’ll be right’ by starting a conversation.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia

The art of a fashionable lean

Notes

Darlings, it’s that time of year again when Sydney’s Circular Quay is teaming with fashionistas, press, bloggers, models and minions.

The only place to be seen today is front row at Bec & Bridge as they launch their highly anticipated Paradiso Bianco Collection. Be prepared to be transported to the sparkling Amalfi Coast, a place rich in history, vivid colours and pure white light.

Inspired by a recent holiday, these two fabulous ladies have created an effortless, elegant collection, with super easy to wear, must-have pieces that will have you wishing for a European summer escape plan from the long winter months ahead of us. Wild bougainvillea? Yes please.

Meanwhile, back in Sydney as the leaves turn in the crisp air, wear yours lean and dark, accessorising with a bang-on-trend berry crush lip and Carine Roitfeld eye.

Then skip the treats this week and meet me at the Champagne bar.

Happy Fashion Week!

Breakfast With Audrey

The blushing bride draped in antique lace

Notes

A big thank you goes out to the delightful Caroline Rachel for her article on The Art of Afternoon Tea featured today on fabulous fashion site Breakfast With Audrey. To see the article click here, a fabulous fusion of fashion and food! Yes, surprisingly the two do go together quite nicely!

Caroline is a contributor for Breakfast With Audrey and the creator of Not Another Foodie, a down to earth blog ‘dedicated to fighting food snobbery … aims to challenge those presenting with gastro-twatism and are of the belief you have to use obscure and expensive ingredients just to cook a good meal’. Love it!
