The Art of Afternoon Tea goes Bridal! Capturing the newlyweds and the bridal party in fashion caricature, a bridal illustration is perfect for those looking for a gift with a difference.

Husbands take note; the traditional present for one year of wedded bliss is paper… I can guarantee your beloved would be delighted by a gift of you and her or her and her maids captured in an illustration. Email alexneagraham@yahoo.com for more information.

This illustration is of my Mum on her wedding day, 26th August 1972. My Dad proposed to her over the phone as they were off to see the world and the general attitude was ‘well, we best get married then’. She was dragged to Double Bay by her sister and mother who despaired at her anti-establishment attitude in order to find her an outfit, then it was off to the Sydney Registry Office to seal the deal. They will celebrate 40 years of marriage this year. Lovin’ their style!

Don’t stop doing these! I get married in Oct 2012 and I definitely want one of these, they are just gorgeous. Do you have a website for you dress designs? I would love to have a look. xo

    • Don’t worry Sarah, I don’t have any plans to stop doing these! Unfortunately though I don’t work on my label designs at the moment, I just can’t find the time between working full time and keeping up with my illustrating. Hopefully I will be able to come back to it one day, but for now it’s all in the illustrating! All the best to you for the next year of planning and enjoy your engagement! xx

Thank you Alexandra for a lovely illustration of my wedding outfit. I wore and wore the shirt (it was called a blouse in those days) until it was like tissue paper. You have reminded me of my current conservatism, so I am off to polish the remaining barnacles of dissent. Be warned!

These are amazing. I think u took some creative license with the height of James and the strength of his jawline. Still… Amazing!!!!!! I want to get married just so I can have one. In fact, the beauty of these works encourages divorce so I can have several.
