I had wanted to create a pumpkin in honour of Halloween but time and life got the best of me and I had to roll with The Aubergine.
Plump, richly toned and ripe for the cooking. Another in my series of botanical fruit and veg illustrations.

The light and shade of the aubergine are remarkable but even more astonishing is the “feel” of the prickles on the stem. A truly visual and sensual illustration.
